What began as a working sketchbook of research and exploration in 2010 has now grown into a label continuing on it’s journey to create astounding neck wear loved by it’s owner and worn by many tie aficionados. Marwood’s debut collection for Autumn/Winter 2011 showcased a well crafted range of ties and bow ties created with the finest fabrics such as woven silk, wool and traditional English Leavers lace. Modern and highly appealing, Marwood created a range of neckwear that celebrated and brought forth the traditions of a rich and distinguished heritage and tradition, making use of the most skilled, historic factories and fabric mills across the UK. This a lone gives spirit and life to the tie and bow tie pieces because the authenticity and dedication to the classic tradition in unparalleled. Marwood’s approach is to create neck wear that create excitement from discovering something new and unusual, while maintaining a strong sense of tradition. It’s not hard for someone to fall for its obvious charm. Having gained international stockists including Liberty, Other, Barneys, Kapok, Harvey Nichols (HK), Edifice and Tomorrowland in Japan to name a few, the consistent rise of Marwood shows that labels with a strong concept and well crafted product can still prosper during tuff times. The Spring/Summer 2013 collection, titled ‘Transparent Grids’, showcases yet more evolution on the Marwood’s journey.
