The defining feature of the Extra Normal Grande watch from Normal Timepieces is striking minimalism. The hour hand is actually the cut-out portion of a disk, which slowly rotates to expose the numbered face underneath. A 38mm stainless steel hairline case with convex crystal contains Miyota 2034 Japanese movement, featuring water resistance up to 100ft and complemented with a band constructed from either black leather or IP mesh. The made in Japan timepiece is in stock now at squarestreet.

This watch was designed in attempt to re-work a classic piece to absolute minimalism. García described the Swatch Ring Watch as a representation of the “maximum simplification of a traditional wristwatch through its elimination of numbers and hands in favor of the two rings. This minimalist design provides both a clean and simple look that marries perfectly with the watch’s eye-catching aesthetic. The ‘Swatch’ Ring Watch concept is cool stepping stone for the wearable technologies industry and will surely be the inspiration for more creative and visually pleasing wearable gadgets.

This watch by Hudson River Watch Co is inspired by streets across New York City. Above are the ones that stood out to me. This one is called Cranberry Place and is inspired by flea markets and antique stopwatches. Hudson River Watch Co. Hudson River is currently running as a Kickstarter, and they have recently reached their pledge target. It’s really inspiring to projects like this on there, hopefully we will hear more from the brand very soon.
